"Only a few people know the story before I made the move to California. I kept seeing a vision of a yellow house with that special type of ceramic barrel style roofing surrounded by palm trees. I didn’t know where exactly because it was cropped, but I knew it was somewhere tropical and warm because of the trees and the overall feeling. This vision literally kept popping up in my head before I knew I had the idea to move. I like to think that’s the reason for wanting to draw this very specific breed of horse; the emotions I feel relate to one another - a sense of freedom, warmth, sophistication."
