"This drawing is of a very special horse belonging to someone in my life who is dear to me. I had created the exact drawing over a decade prior, and it was fun to see how my technique had developed over time as I worked on this new version. I used the same materials - graphite pencil and paper - and free-hand strategy. To know I once thought my best work was the first drawing, and then to see my most recent one, was great validation that practice makes progress."
