"This photo was taken at the Knabstrupper stud Af Wendandi. We photographed some of the stud's stallions against a white background. Among them was Aragorn. He is not a normal gray, albino or cremollo. He lacks the pigmentation for the typical tiger check of a Knabstrupper.
While shooting against the white background, I noticed a rose bush standing in a pot on the edge of a house wall. I grabbed the pot and used the blossoms to play with the bokeh. In the process, this dream came to life in pastel. What makes this photo very special to me is that it combines both an absolute love and abysmal dislike for me... My image style usually moves more in a dark and moody direction, without pastel colors bright light. However, one should never forget to occasionally break out of old habits and look beyond the creative edge of the plate..."
